Indirect Lesson To Film Industry From #JLK

Director Koratala Siva openly stated sometime back that as a popular director never gave him credit for his writing, he has chosen to become a director. Treading on the same path, another young guy also quit writing to become a director and he showed that in his current film as well.

In a freewheeling interview with a radio station, director KS Ravindra (Bobby) told that when his name went missing from a film he worked, he realised that he has to become a director to get the identity he deserves. Noticing this, Raviteja has given him the chance to become a director and that’s how “Power” movie happened.

Guess what, Bobby has showcased this to the whole of industry as an indirect lesson in his latest movie “Jai Lava Kusa”. Though he may not agree to it, the whole of #JLK is about a big brother not getting identity within his family and then turning into a fugitive who would harm the society. In real life, writers like Koratala and Bobby turned to good, but JLK’s Jai turned to bad things, that’s the only difference.

Will film industry look at this indirect lesson positively and give credit to the original writer or anyone involved in crafting a film? That’s something only time will tell and as we are talking about this ‘indirect lesson’, a writer is complaining to concerned authority that a director has lifted his story.
