India’s First Ebola Death Reported

India’s first Ebola death was reported. An Indian national has succumbed to the deadly Ebola virus, confirmed the Health Ministry. Mohammed Amir, who was employed in a pharmacy in Liberia, died of Ebola virus infection on September 7. However, the issue came into light lately. Union Health Ministry has informed the bereaved members of his family about the incident. 
Meanwhile, earlier this month, an Ebola-treated patient of India returned from Liberia. Although he got cured, his body fluids contained traces of the virus. He is quarantined and being specially treated under constant observation until the virus is completely out of his body and constant tests will be done during his observation.
