The ongoing Asian Games 2023 is turning out to be fruitful for India as the tally of the medals is increasing gradually. Across the categories, India is winning the prestigious Gold medals. Athletes made India proud with their historic stint. This also added another gold to India’s name.

In the 2023 Asian Games India won gold in the Equestrian Team Dressage event. This is news to celebrate as India won the Gold in the event after a long gap of 41 years. After reaching the top in score in the event, the athletes are presented with the prestigious medal.

Anush Agarwalla, Hriday Vipul, Divyakriti Singh, and Sudipti Hajela represented India in the event and brought the gold to the country. Their overall performance placed the team at the top.

The winners of the Equestrian Team Dressage are awarded based on their scoring. Athletes taking part in this should score big and the combined score of the athletes will decide the winner. The event sees athletes performing stunts with horses and the coordination between the rider and horse plays a key role.

Athletes taking part in the event should perform the stunts prescribed by the judges and looking at the complexity of the stunts and the perfection the marks are given. Those who participate in the event should perform a series of intricate movements. Aspects like the coordination between the horse and rider and the quality of movements come in handy while scoring points.

The individual scores of the athletes are combined and the team with the highest score gets gold. The athletes performed stunts like piaffe (a highly collected trot in place), passage (a slow elevated trot), and canter pirouettes (tight turns at a canter) in the event.

Earlier India won gold in Cricket and 10m Air Rifle Men’s team. As of now, India won three golds in the Asian Games 2023.
