India Ex PM’s Name Removed From Voter’s List

Former India Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s name was removed from the voter’s list. He has been voter in Lucknow Municipality in Uttar Pradesh since four decades.

The Municipal officials confirmed Vajpayee’s name was struck off the voters list. Officials said the former Prime Minister hasn’t been living in Lucknow since 2004. As per rule if a person doesn’t live at local address for over 6 months, name is removed.

The 92-year-old leader represented Lucknow Lok Sabha five times in a row. Due to age related issues, Vajpayee stayed away from casting vote since the 2004 general election.

After quitting the veteran BJP leader active politics, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh was representing Lucknow Parliamentary Constituency.
