Looks like the YSRCP president YS Jagan has already started acting towards strengthening the party’s roots at the district level ahead of the 2019 general elections. Starting from East Godavari district, Jagan is set to revamp his party with fresh blood. In the process, the young leader sacked his close aide Chandrasekhar Reddy.
Chandrasekhar Reddy has been a close confidant of Jagan since several years. However, he lost the 2014 elections in Kakinada. Following this, Jagan sidelined Chandrasekhar and gave the party’s coordination responsibilities to newbie Mutha Sasidhar in Kakinada town.
Mutha Sasidhar is the son of Mutha Gopalakrishna from Vysya community, an influential personality in Kakinada. Even though he stated that Sasidhar will work in tandem with Chandrasekhar, Jagan also announced that the party’s ticket in 2019 will be given to Sasidhar.
On the other hand, Jagan also gave the party’s coordination responsibilities in Kakinada Rural to yet another new leader K Kannababu from Kapu community, who will also contest in the 2019 polls.
