Hyderabad Floods: Actor Ram Pothineni hands over Rs 25 lakh cheque to Minister KTR

It’s already known that actor Ram Pothineni has pledged to donate Rs 25 lakh to the CM Relief Fund as Hyderabad saw a huge devastation due to heavy rainfall and consequent flooding.
On Thursday, the iSmart Shankar actor personally met Telangana Urban Development Minister KTR to hand over the cheque at his office. Expressing concern for the people of the city, he had written, “Extremely concerned about my people of Telangana..glad to see than man @KTRTRS himself on the ground right from day 1 of the floods..would like to appreciate & extend my support to our state government by donating ₹25 lacs to the CM relief Fund.Love.” (sic) Ram also revealed that they discussed his upcoming films, apart from a range of other topics. Apart from Ram, actors like Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, Nagarjuna, Prabhas and Vijay Deverakonda have also pledged funds to the CM Relief Fund.
On the work front, Ram Pothineni’s next RED, the Telugu remake of Thadam, is ready to release but was held back due to on-going pandemic. The movie is directed by Kishore Tirumala and actresses Nivetha Pethuraj, Malavika Sharma and Amritha Aiyer are playing the female leads. Ram is going to be seen in dual role in RED. The film’s team had earlier announced that they will be releasing the film on big screens and they are not looking forward to releasing in any OTT platform. Further details are awaited.
