Hora Hori Movie Review

Story:

Basava (Chaswa) is a badass Police officer who happens to see Mythili (Daksha) at her wedding and falls for her instantly. He immediately kills the groom and further intimidates her by killing one more groom who comes forward. Mythili is in a state of trauma.

Her brother takes her to a remote Karnataka village to save her from Basava. It is then Skanda (Dileep) enters the scene and proposes her. While Skanda proposes her, she rejects due to the fear of Basawa even though she loves him. What happens next in the story forms the rest.

Performances:

Chaswa had put up a very good performance in the film as the baddie. His screen presence is very good and acting is at ease. Daksha has girl the next door looks and is mostly confined to crying in the film. Dileep, the supposed to be hero in the film is totally clueless and looks like requires lot of grinding before he can be called as an actor. Jabardast Raghava comes in with good comedy. Seema is good as hero’s grand mother.

Technical Performances:

Hora Hori once again runs on the lines of usual Jayam Template i.e., baddies comes after the girl, threatening her lover, trying to win her blah blah. At several instances, the movie keeps on taking you to Jayam. The amateur actors in this film further diminishes the experience. Through out the film, you can feel Teja is an outdated director who is long lost.

Kalyani Koduri has come up with a decent album and all the songs were neatly shot. Cinematography and editing were okay while Production Values look very poor.

Plus Points:

Nothing notable

Minus Points:

Almost All except some average work of the technicians.

Final Say:

Teja is not even close to the shadow of a great director who delivered films like Nuvvu Nenu, Jayam etc. He is struggling and is churning out disastrous stuff in the process. I would not advise this film even if you are diehard fan of Teja.
