Gali Regrets on ‘Kojja No.1’ Comment!

Mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy is now a ‘changed’ person. Gali, who was aggressive, angry, ‘immature’ (by his own admission), has transformed today into a smooth, soft, matured person.

Responding to his comments ‘Kojja No.1’ on then former CM & present CM Chandrababu Naidu, Gali admits on record that he regrets for those comments.

Gali further explains what was going through his mind when such incident happened and what led him to ‘lose his tongue’. Gali said that his house in Hyderabad was attacked by stone pelters and he made those ‘unfortunate’ diatribes in the spur of the moment.

Gali admitted that the language that he had used was very ‘wrong’ and ‘avoidable’. He said that he wouldn’t have used such foul language against a popular leader. Gali shared that he had first established mining firm (Obulapuram Mining Company) – iron ore mining – when Chandrababu Naidu was the chief minister and clarified that there is no role of either YS Rajasekhar Reddy or former Karnataka CM and former Union Minister SM Krishna. Gali said he got lease as per government procedures and subsequently the ‘iron ore’ boom in 2004 helped him to become billionaire.

Many political analysts opine that Gali’s regret and open apology to Chandrababu is a welcome change. After all, it is better late than never.
