The most challenging task for senior star heroes is not just finding scripts that suit their age, but also finding actresses (stars, of course) who are willing to pair with them. Venkatesh is the latest hero to face this predicament.
A project in the combination of Venkatesh and director Teja is all set to take off. The launch date, December 13 has also been finalized. However, they are yet to find the leading lady for Venky. The name of Kajal Aggarwal did rounds but the makers reportedly dropped her after she quoted very high remuneration. Milky beauty Tamannah was also approached but she also turned down the film citing unavailability of dates.
It is heard that both these star heroines have deliberately played different cards so as not to pair with Venky, thus putting themselves into ‘senior heroine’ zone. While Kajal did ‘Nenu Raju Nene Manthri’ for reasonable remuneration, there was no need to hike the fee for her immediate next film, with the same director. Tamanna on the other hand has no big film in her kitty, and Venky-Teja film could have been her biggest film at this point.
Buzz is that Teja is now considering Bollywood actress Radhika Apte, who had paired with Balayya Babu in “Legend” and “Lion”. She is the best choice one can find to play the partner of senior heroes. She paired with Superstar Rajinikanth as well in “Kabali”. Teja however seeks a star heroine, which Radhika isn’t, she is popular though.
