When star heroes were struggling to deliver hits, young hero Raj Tarun shocked even industry bigwigs and trade pundits by scoring hat trick hits. Usually, successful hero films will have minimum of openings, but only thing makers should do is right publicity.
Coming back to Raj Tarun his latest release Seethamma Andalu Ramayya Sitralu (SARS) is losing most of its theatres to next releases in the week, owing to weak performance. The film botched to collect decent shares in first weekend and is further weakening in week days, only because of poor promotions.
Only positive thing for the producers is they have bagged double profits, even before the release. Cashing in on Raj Tarun’s current craze in youth, the producers who spent on Rs 4 crores on the project have sold it for Rs 8 crores to various distributors.
So, 4 cr table profits for them, much before to the film’s outing. However, the distributors are crying for their wrongdoing of investing such big amount on the project. In fact, producers are also worried about the result, as it will damage their banner’s name.
Sailendra Babu is a well known producer in Kannada and is willing to make his mark in Telugu industry. Unfortunately, the flop talk is bothering him.
As a matter of fact, SARS should have made good business at least in first week, if PR works were strong. Now, the film is providing huge losses to all the distributors. Moreover, Raj Tarun lost his charisma with the dud result.
