Taking everyone by surprise, Pawan Kalyan has called off his press conference. Here is why Pawan has taken back his step!
Election Commission of India has officially issued notification about general elections in various states of India between April 7th and May 12th, and vote count will happen on May 16th. EC declared that model code of conduct for parties and governments comes into force with immediate effect. In that case, it may not be possible to float a new party, as EC code is on. Although Pawan’s expert team are working out various options to make the actor kick-start his own political outfit, technically all those plans should be kept on hold, say legal experts. If at all Pawan starts a party now, he will be going for elections in 2019 only.
We have to see what Pawan’s team will say now, and at the same time few indicated that our hero wanted to revive PRP rather opening a new party. Even for that, we need to know if it is legally possible to re-open a party when Election code is in implementation. Apparently, this has compelled Pawan to retract his previous statement.
