Other day, producer DVV Danayya and director SS Rajamouli, in whose combination #RRR is coming out, have announced that they are together giving 10 lakhs to the Corona Crisis Charity chaired by Megastar Chiranjeevi.
Ever since this came out, couple of web media folks started blasting Rajamouli, saying that the director hasn’t taken a single penny out, but added his name to that of his producer’s charity.
Amidst the allegations that Rajamouli is not desiring to take out money though he is charging 50+ crores remuneration for #RRR, one should remember the fact that the director is not interested in doing publicity for the charity he has done.
Recently in an interview, Rajamouli revealed that he won’t give any money to big funds and publicise it, but actually feeding some 100s of people every day through their trusts.
Not just during COVID-19 outbreak, but actually Rajamouli and family are said to be doing charity for a long time, but they don’t publicise about it. And now, they are said to be giving essentials and food to many daily wage workers of their film #RRR, but not interested to publicise it. Rather recognising the good deeds of a person, ‘shaming’ them for their charity is a big shame on the part of these we media folks.
People close to Rajamouli are saying, “Those web media folks have criticised a great personality like Ramoji Rao when he donated 20 crores and today they will criticise Rajamouli too. But let them announce what they have donated for the poor”.
