Generally if anyone gives money back, they don’t publicise it much. Especially in film industry, producers talk about budget of the movie only during the promotions of the movie, but in reality they never open about about about box office shares, revenues, losses and profits.
It is being publicised that Bruce Lee producer DVV Danaya has also taken the route of returning money to distributors who have lost hefty money. And he has returned nearly 2 crores to Dil Raju, who lost about 5 crores after distributing the Ram Charan starrer in Nizam area.
As the losses of Bruce Lee are to a tune of 30% in some areas, cine analysts felt that Producer will not be returning any amount. They do compensate some amount if losses are above 50% of the investment.
What sounds suspicious about this news is, will a distributor like Dil Raju too asks for money compensation? Probably he will bargain for the distribution rights of producer’s next film at a lesser rates to make up this loss.
