Delhi bans Uber Cabs After Rape Allegations

Acting tough on Uber Cabs, US based private cab service, Delhi Government today banned Uber Cabs with immediate effect by blacklisting it from offering any transport services in the National Capital. Government took the decision following rape of 27-year-old woman executive by its driver in the cab.
Delhi Government in a press release said Transport department banned all activities provided by ww.uber.com and also blacklisted the company. It announced that transport department even cancelled the registration and permit certificate of taxi (DL1YD 7910) and also the licence of the accused. 
Government official added that Uber misled commuters about nature of services offered through its App. In the meanwhile Travis Kalanick Uber CEO regretted the horrific incident and promised to work closely with the Govt.
