Dear Politicians, please don’t drag Gods into the political arena

An unwanted and bizarre trend of dragging gods into the political scenario has been followed by leaders in Andhra Pradesh. Two similar incidents took place in the state days apart.

The news of ruling and former MLA belonging from YSRCP and TDP respectively taking promise in a famous temple in AP has created a sensation on to how come leaders use gods for their political needs.

When we are still unable to get out of the news, YSRCP MLA Rachamallu Siva Prasad Reddy said that he has no relation with the murder of TDP spokesperson Nandam Subbaiah.

The MLA reached Choudeshwari temple in Proddatur and took promise in the temple that he is nowhere connected with the murder and alleged that he is being dragged into the case unwantedly.

However, the TDP leader’s wife Aparajitha alleged that Proddatur MLA and his brother-in-law are responsible for the murder. She found fault with the behavior of the MLA.

She lashed out at the MLA and questioned that will he get rid of the sin he committed(her husband’s murder) by making a promise in front of God. She alleged that Municipal Commissioner Anuradha is also linked with the incident.

Tracing back the incident, earlier on December month-end. TDP Kadapa district spokesperson Nandam Subbaiah went to the Somulavaripalli region, where the state government’s flagship scheme ‘Pedalandariki Illu’ is going on.

He was brutally killed in the same Somulavaripalli region. His family members and the opposition TDP leaders are alleging political vendetta by the ruling party.
