Noted 90s actress, Kasturi Shankar has stirred up a hornet’s nest on social media when she made a tweet relating the deaths of Sridevi and Sunny Leone.
Trying to make fun of the news channels which have been showing primarily Sridevi-related stuff ever since her death, Kasturi made this sarcastic tweet – All the news channels are showing songs and clips of Late Sridevi. Wondering what will happen when Sunny Leone expires someday.
Although she targeted media, the time of the tweet (at a grieving time) and the choice of words (which videos will be telecast when Sunny Leone expires) turned the heat of netizens against her. They rebuked her for making fun of Sunny Leone’s past work and some even went on to share hot pics and videos from her own films. Others lambasted her, calling her an ‘insensitive person’ for making such tweet.
Taken aback by the criticism, Kasturi tried to pacify the situation, as she said later that it was just a satire on news channels and that nobody (except the media) should take it too seriously. The criticism didn’t stop through.
