Congress Ditches TJS

In the grand alliance (Maha Kutami) seat distribution took a lot of time. Professor Kodandaram led Telangana Jana Samithi openly expressed his displeasure and later made up his mind to field candidates at few constituencies where he feels TJS is strong enough to win.

As Congress accommodated seven seats, Kodandaram announced that TJS will contest at 13 segments overall. Candidates of TJS filed their nominations as well. But here is the real twist. Congress party shocked TJS by filing nominations at six out of seven seats that were adjusted as part of poll pact.

At Miryalguda, Dubbaka, Warangal (East), Asifabad, Khanapur and Chennuru, Congress and TJS candidates were given B-forms but it’s not going to be a friendly battle. TJS went a step further and also filed nominations at two places i.e, Mahbubnagar and Aswaraopeta where TTDP is slotted.

Seems like Prof. Kodandaram is stubborn on his party having a minimum presence in Telangana assembly so as to counter the mainstream political parties.
