Actor Prakash Raj is the first person from the film industry to support media in the casting couch row. Responding to a question posed by a media channel, Prakash Raj said casting couch has become an evil practice in the film industry and elsewhere where the sexual assaults on woman are on rise. Reacting on Sri Reddy and film industry row, Prakash Raj found fault with the industry people for not paying heed to Sri Reddy’s owes. Prakash Raj has said when a woman is crying, she should be heard. He has asked everyone to don’t resort for “Character Assassination”.
“Instead of looking at who are saying and how are they saying, one should look at what is they saying. What is the reality? What are facts? Isn’t it true that there exists such practice in film industry? Address the issue. Not try to assassinate someone’s character,” said emotional Prakash Raj.
Shooting his question straight to the heads of film industry, Prakash Raj said what would they achieve by trying to impose restrictions on media.
Breathing fire on Modi and BJP, Prakash Raj said he would not let BJP win in Karnataka as it would have an impact on national politics. He said BJP is trying its best to expand into South, but he said he wouldn’t make it happen. Prakash Raj, who has been campaigning against BJP in Karnataka, said he is not supporting any other political party. He said he would continue to question any other political party that come into power in Karnataka if works of people are not completed timely. Prakash Raj said why BJP leaders are silent to the questions raised by him. He said Gouri Lankesh’s brutal murder would have a telling impact in Karnataka elections.
Making his stand clear on politics, Prakash Raj said he would not join politics. He said he would fight for the betterment of the society and future of people. Criticizing Modi to the core, the versatile actor said he has been questioning Modi as he is in power. Prakash Raj said people defeated previous governments only as they didn’t do enough, so he called the act of defending of the present government by comparing with previous governments is a lame reason.
Talking about the rise of physical attacks on women, Prakash Raj said his heart is bleeding for women. He said his heart goes out for all the victims. He demanded the government to take immediate steps to control such heinous acts against woman.
Without mincing his words, Prakash has spoke at length on all major issues. He said KCR is attempting for non-Congress and non-BJP Federal Front which is a good attempt and said let him hold meetings with various leaders before taking the next step. Replying to the allegations of Congress that BJP is behind KCR’s Federal Front to stop Congress, Prakash Raj laughed off saying no one could stop such speculations and ultimately it will be a people’s government that will be formed.
