Music director MM Keeravani has earlier officially stated that he will retire from films after completion of “Baahubali”. Frankly he hasn’t made any such move, thereby exciting movie lovers, and he’s busy composing for various Telugu films now and then. Still, it seems like he has a big retirement plan.
Taking a cue from his peer Mani Sharma, it looks like Keeravani is also chalking out musical tours for the rest of his life. Mani is quite popular for his live-in concerts across USA, Europe and Australia in the last 6-9 years.
These days, he has no films to compose not because he has lost interest in composing, but he’s busy touring other parts of world for at least 6 months in a year. Even Keeravani is also planning similar things as he decided to take some regular tours starting from January next year.
For music directors, as new talents make them get less opportunities, those who worked long in industry could bank on these concerts. It’s both money and pleasure. They may not agree, but this is the best plan post retirement.
