If there is any movie that connected with the audience a lot in recent times, it is definitely ‘Uppena’. This emotional love story which marked the entry of Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty into Tollywood has become a huge hit. The super hit songs couple with Buchi Babu Sana’s compelling narration helped the film in becoming a blockbuster. The producers recently announced that the film crossed the 100 crores mark.
These days Bollywood actors are taking a deep look on South Indian movies. They are remaking our hit movies and scoring blockbusters in Hindi. Films like ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Jersey’ are a big proof. Inside sources reveal that Bollywood crazy hero Varun Dhawan fell in love with ‘Uppena’ and is making moves to remake it. He is reportedly impressed by the looks and performance of Krithi Shetty that he is planning to rope her in as the heroine in the remake too.
But it is said that the Mythri Movie Makers team is quoting a very high rate for the remake right which made Varun & Co to keep the talks on hold for now. We need to wait and see how things move forward from here.
