‘Black Monday’ for Jagan!

For stock markets yesterday was a ‘Black Monday’ and this sentiment even applied for AP CM YS Jagan as he received setbacks after setbacks. Some of them are his government policies which will indirectly affect YSRCP politically.

In the recent times, Jagan and his government took some key decisions that are connected to their election manifesto too. These decisions were challenged in various courts and on Monday, the verdict came against the government. This brought new headaches to AP CM Jagan.

Here are those top decisions that Courts found fault

1. On the YSRCP colors to government offices, High Court ordered YSRCP government to remove them. But Jagan government approached the Supreme Court and the top court found fault with the government and defended the High Court’s order.

2. The government order to collect six thousand acres of land to distribute to the poor faced hurdles. The court has put a stay for not giving advance notices to the farmers to collect their lands without consent.

3. On the land distribution, Jagan government planned to disburse Amaravati lands to the poor. The High Court said this illegal and government has no right to distribute Amaravati lands.

4. On 25 Lakh land documents distribution, YSRCP government issued a G.O stating that the beneficiaries can sell their lands after five years. The High Court raised objections on it and questioned the government why did not it impose a rule to construct a house.

When looked into all these, it’s the officials who drew these policies without having a foresee about the legal consequences in the future. Ultimately when the officials fail to come up with thoughts of ruling party, it would affect the head of government i.e, CM. Hopefully the officials will learn from these mistakes and bring policies that will be hurdle free in the coming days.
