Union Minister of Home Affairs, Kishan Reddy has recently said that he met with the Union Minister of Health, Harsh Vardhan, to discuss the situation of Coronavirus in the state of Telangana. He said that the situation of Coronavirus in the state is very much worrisome, and that he had discussed various options to help with this.

He also said that the central government had sent a team to Telangana to observe the progress of the state in controlling the spread of the virus, and said that he made sure to take the sense of panic in the people of Hyderabad, to Minister Harsh Vardhan’s notice.

Kishan Reddy said that the central government is ready to help the state of Telangana in any way it requires, and has given the state complete freedom with respect to containment zones and the imposition of lockdown. He also said that the central government is ready to send in additional medical help to the state, and said that the state has already been sent 2.45 Lakh PPE kits. The state is also set to receive 1,220 ventilators from the center, owing to the huge shortage of ventilators in the state.

On the other hand, Minister KTR had inaugurated Prathima hospitals in Karimnagar, and spoke to the media about the situation in the state. He acknowledged the faults and shortages in the state government’s handling of the virus, but strongly said that the government is making sure that the situation is being looked into properly.
