At the recently concluded Filmfare Awards, the Vikas Bahl directorial ‘Queen’ walked with a horde of awards. Vikas got two Filmfare awards for Best Movie and Best Direction, while the title role player Kangana Ranaut got Best Actress award and director Anurag Kashyap got Best Editor award.
And this kick-started the debate, when will this acclaimed movie gets remade in Telugu and Tamil. It is already known that Tamil hero Prashant’s production house has brought the remake rights of ‘Queen’ for Telugu and Tamil.
They are on the lookout for a lead actress to play the title role. Earlier the names of Samantha and Nitya Menon are heard regarding the role, but both the actress denied signing the remake. Because, who will essay the title role will actually have to carry the film on their shoulders.
And now with ‘Queen’ winning awards at Filmfare, many makers are forcing Prashant and his father to kick-start the remake work. Otherwise, many people may search for Hindi version on internet and watch it.
If the remake is too delayed, then the fate might end like another Kahaani, whose Telugu-Tamil remake Anamika failed to click at box office.
