The Kollywood film industry is blessed with many music directors. The tradition of producing popular music directors has been continued by the film industry. Veteran music director llaiyaraaja was recently nominated to the upper house Rajya Sabha recognising the valuable contributions he made to the film industry.
In a memorable moment, Ilayaraja was spotted with another legendary music director A.R. Rahman. The two music directors bumped into each other at the Chennai airport. Though the two music directors came from two different destinations, they met each other at Chennai airport.
AR Rahman is an evident fan of Ilayaraja and on many occasions, he said that. After seeing Ilayaraja, Rahman shared a video of him along with the legendary music director. The duo can be seen traveling in a golf cart.
The two directors have different styles of working. While Ilayaraja is famous for giving many hit songs, A R Rahman is famous for introducing many new instruments to the Indian music industry.
While Ilayaraja was honoured by sending him to Rajya Sabha as a nominated person, Rahman made the country proud on an international stage by bagging the Academy award. He worked on a few projects in English as well.
