Aatadukundam Raa Movie Review

Story

Vijay Ram (Murali Sharma) is a rich businessman who is deceived by his best friend Anand Rao. He loses all his properties and is left with a rice mill which is their lifeline. To marry his brother’s (Raghu Babu) daughter he tries to sell that rice mill for which Syamala Rao acts as a road block. Vijay Ram calls his sister’s son who eloped from their home to sign the documents to sell the rice mill who is Karthik (Sushanth). Karthik comes and slowly start solving problems faced by Vijay Ram and his family in his ways and helps in the marriage of Vijay Ram’s brother’s daughter. They come to know that Karthik is not their original son in law. Then who is Karthik?? What is his intention?? How he solved all the problems form the rest of story.

Performance

Sushanth as Karthik who returns from America to settle issues here is good. He need to improve more in terms of expressions. He looks handsome in some scenes. Sonam Preethi as Sruthi is good and looks gorgeous. Murali Sharma is superb and did his role with ease. Posani Krishna Murali is nice. Thirty years Prudhvi is as usual. Raghu babu is nice. Sudha is fit for her role. Rama Prabha is good. Harish Koyalagundla is okay in his role. Vennela Kishore is good. Brahmanandham has nothing new to offer. Other actors did well to the extent of their role.

Technical Performance

Songs composed by Anoop Rubens are okay. His background score okay and good for some scenes. Cinematography by Dasaradhi is good as visuals are rich and colourful. Editing by Gautham Raju should have been much better. Action sequences are well composed. Production values are rich.

Plus Points

Sushanth as Karthik

Minus Points

Routine Stuff
Illogical Scenes

Final Say

Movie begins with setting up the pace and intensity required for the easy flow of the movie where Vijay Ram is deceived. This half goes with some comedy scenes which works at places and is ended with an interesting twist and bang. This half is okay and slightly entertaining. Second half start with illogical scenes and goes on with the introduction and comedy scenes of Vennela Kishore and Brahmanandam. This half has nothing new to offer than a formulaic Telugu movie. This half goes nowhere but the lagging of the story with lot of scenes of Vennela Kishore and Brahmanandam. There are some scenes where audience burst out laughing which are so funny. This movie runs in the same formula which audience rejected in the last year. Director should have taken much care in scripting and making this movie more entertaining. Anoop Rubens songs don’t add to this movie. Logics goes on toss in scenes before 20 years where actors use mobile phones. Akhil and Naga Chaitanya cameo does not make any difference. To sum up, Aatadukundham Raa is a wasted effort from Sushanth.
