Nithiin’s A..Aa might have minted the money at the Box Office. But the film has bigger identities such as Trivikram and Samantha that made a huge difference at the Box Office. Producers of Lie who believed in Nithiin’s strength after A..Aa burned their hands to the core. Despite good content and decent reviews, Lie ended up as a dud. Even his last film Chal Mohan Ranga couldn’t sustain at the marquee despite having bigger names like Pawan, Trivikram attached to the film.
Thanks to interesting promos and Dil Raju’s backing, Nithiin’s Srinivasa Kalyanam done a good pre-release business. With the backing of Dil Raju and director Satish Vegesna of Shatamanam Bhavati fame, trade is betting Rs 30 Crore on the film. Now this itself is turning out to be a huge risk.
Certainly, 30 Crore pre-release business on Nithiin’s film is a big risk as the movie has to get a share of Rs 30 Crore for break-even. Going by the performance of the recent releases at the Tollywood Box Office, this is a far from reality. Now, one has to wait and see what magic Dil Raju would do.
On the other hand, the film is going to clash with Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam 2, much-awaited sequel to Vishwaroopam. This is also expected to have certain impact on Srinivasa Kalyanam’s run at the BO. Let’s wait and see, what is in store for Nithiin. Srinivasa Kalyanam is very crucial for Nithiin at this juncture of his career as all his peers are scoring hits.
