Lyca Productions is releasing Telugu version of 2.0 without collaborating with any Telugu producers.NV Prasad came forward to pay a whopping Rs. 80 crore for Telugu rights but backed out after the film’s release was delayed.Later Lyca refused to give away the Telugu rights for Rs. 80 crore as they believe that it has the potential to collect Rs. 100 crore share from Telugu alone.

NV Prasad is now distributing 2.0 in Telugu states on a commission basis. Lyca wholly owns the Telugu version theatrical and other rights. This Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer is touted to be the costliest film ever made in Indian cinema. The estimated budget of 2.0 is around Rs. 550 crore.
