It is apparent that the cash for note scam rocked the state politically with lots of chaos. However, Revanth Reddy the main accused was granted bail with certain conditions. Speaking in a interview after being released, Revanth spoke out heart felt words and support from the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
He said “One MLC is not a major concern for TDP. Little did we bother when 5 of our MLA left the party out of 15 MLAs. In 2009, TDP won in 92 Assembly constituencies. Whereas in 2015, we’re confined to 60 MLAs. Although we lost 32 MLAs, little did party bother. Even when we lose MPs of the parliament, it hardly affected our party. But for an unnecessary MLC, a lot of various things happened and we suffered a lot.”
Revanth Reddy further added “Above all, Chandrababu Naidu is image conscious. When such controversies are coming up, he distances from them. He is not courageous when it comes to such damaging issues. Unlike KCR who argues haphazardly and not so image conscious, Naidu is very responsible person and worries about society and his public image. For such a man who is already mired in a lot of problems and struggling to develop the successor state, at this juncture, a problem aroused because of me is sad. I personally felt bad.”
