Sonam Kapoor starrer biopic film Neerja is going from strength to strength with positive mouth talk. The film has collected over Rs 22 cr by the weekend and is set for a hit for its budget. Nonetheless, Neerja Bhanot’s colleague pronounces that the film was a pure fiction and identity of real heroes’ in the incident was secreted.
Nupoor Abrol, one of the crew members on the dreaded Pan Am flight that was hijacked in 1986 claims that unjustifiable adoration has been given to Neerja Bhanot in the film. According to the Ram Madhvani directorial, Neerja was shot while protecting three kids from the terrorists.
Although she managed to save 359 lives on the plane, she could not survive herself. But Nupoor tells other version which is quite contrast to the film’s portrayal. “Yes, truly a very difficult moment. But also a difficult moment for all those flight attendants to accept the movie for what it is unfairly propagating.
Neerja was a wonderful person and I think even her soul today would cringe at taking this undeserved adulation. Not fair to the FA’s who have in reality faced their ordeal! Oh no! I was incidental in that plot.
