It is almost confirmed that ‘Pushpa’ will be arriving in two installments. The producers have confirmed it and Sukumar is currently expanding the story and adding some final touches to it. Insiders say that the overshooting of budget is the main reason for splitting ‘Pushpa’ into two parts. They are planning to release the first part by the end of this year.
Reportedly, the estimated budget was around 120 crores but it looked like it is going to touch the 150 mark. Now, the makers decided to invest a huge sum of 250 crores on the two parts. This is no way worrying the producers as the Mythri Movie Makers are looking at the prospect of doing around 500 crores of business on both these parts. Though the budget is expected to be 250 crores, most of the money goes into the pockets of hero, director and other people’s remunerations.
Since Bunny is fresh out of a blockbuster like ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramlo’ and with Sukumar’s last film being ‘Rangasthalam’, there are huge expectations on ‘Pushpa’. Also, this is the return of the magical ‘Arya’ trio consisting of Bunny, Sukumar and Devi Sri Prasad. So, the producers are expecting to use this craze and make a huge business which may be more than double of their investment. Let us wait and see what happens.
