Pawan Forgot, His Fans Didn’t

On 14th March 2014, Powerstar Pawan Kalyan announced his entry into active politics by launching his Janasena party. Pawan stated that even though his party won’t contest in the 2014 general elections, it will continue to ‘question’ the wrongdoings in the society and the government.

However, there is hardly any significant role played by Janasena or Pawan Kalyan in politics over these 2 years, barring a couple of press meets during the Kapu reservation movement and the land pooling issue in Amaravati, both in Andhra Pradesh.

Meanwhile, Janasena is totally faceless in Telangana. Now, Pawan Kalyan has busied himself with Sardaar Gabbar Singh for the last one year and he seems to be least interested in keeping his party afloat. However, Pawan’s diehard fans and the meager Janasena cadre are planning to celebrate the second anniversary of Janasena party on 14th March.

A group of nearly 300 Janasena party members discussed about the burning issues in the Telugu states and across the country such as Rohith Vemula’s suicide, Bauxite mining, Pathankot Attacks and the ongoing turmoil at Delhi’s JNU and planned to fight for their resolutions.

These fans have also decided to celebrate Janasena’s 2nd anniversary in a grand way across the Telugu states. One wonders if Pawan is even bothered about Janasena while some of his fans continue to revive the already sunken ship called Janasena.
