Even before formally announcing tie up with BJP, sources say that Chandrababu Naidu’s alliance with saffron party is all but formalized and is only waiting for a clarity regarding Telangana to make a formal announcement.
Hence sources say that he has already started his task as informal convener of NDA and his primary responsibility is to get old allies back into NDA. BJP and Shiv Sena are allies but recently Sena has started strong objections to Modi’s candidature. Also, the former CM Deve Gowda of Karnataka was a former NDA ally but he is now staying far and hence on the pretext of meeting regarding Telangana, he is convincing them to come back to NDA fold.
It is being said in Delhi jovially that the ‘old fox’ is back to his Chanakya style of politics again and he seems to be confident of coming to power once again in AP! This is something many people in Andhra Pradesh also want but only time will decide that.
