The commercial Tax departments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are serious on the makers of Baahubali. The movie had never before seen or heard number of benefit shows in both the Telugu states. Yet all the centers have reported Zero or meager tax revenue to the government.
It is said that oral instructions had gone to the department officials to dig in to the issue and penalize such theater owners. However sources say that this is a very difficult task as most of the benefit shows are sold for outright amounts and there are no DCRs for such shows.
Distributors and exhibitors have shelled huge money to bag the movie rights. They have indulged in all kind of irregularities like black ticketing to recover their investments. On the other side, Baahubali is on its way to set new records in Telugu Cinema.
