When Legends meet, that’s more than Judgment Day. Being an eternal cartoonist, Bapu has carved drawings of many celebrities with his trademark lengthy strokes and powerful lines. This was the time when his mighty brush (an inked nib more precisely) met paper to render a living legend of that time.
Long back, Bapu has rendered a wonderful line-drawing of Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao for a book. Bringing out that adorable smile of NTR to life, Bapu portrayed that Royal look on the legendary actor’s face while that ‘puligoru’ draped around his neck catches our attention. Also those rhythmic words written about NTR in sync with his name are meaningful and striking.
‘Ee Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao prajala Anandamuri Taaraga Nelakonna taavu’, the artistic director writes. A legend lived in his lines, and he lives like a legend with those same lines. We miss you Bapu!!!
