The coastguards on a beach near Kucukkuyu city in Turkey saved a 10 month old baby girl named Melda Iglin, which was drifting away nearly 1 kilometer out to the sea in an inflatable tube toy. Apparently, the baby’s parents forgot after putting her in a tube toy in the shore waters.
However, the tube, along with the baby, was pulled into the sea waters when strong winds pushed the baby into the sea, leaving her parents and onlookers panic. Soon after the crowds noticed the baby floating, they tried to reach her but strong tides prevented then from saving her and that was when they called in the coastguards
Melda was finally rescued by the coastguards nearly one kilometer away from the shore. The incident took place on last Friday and little Melda has now become the talk of the country and even several international magazines have covered this news. – See more at:
