Sankranti release ‘Waltair Veerayya’ showcased everyone what Megastar’s stamina is. This commercial entertainer got a share of more than 25 crores in the Nizam area and is all set to cross Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ and Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Bheemla Nayak’. All it needs is to get another 2-3 crores. This Bobby directorial already crossed the collections of ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ in Vizag area and ‘Bheemla Nayak’ did not even get 8 crores in that area whereas ‘Waltair Veerayya’ already crossed 12 crores.
As we know, people made a lot of noise during the release of ‘Bheemla Nayak’ and termed it as a blockbuster. Even ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ was given the tag of super hit. Now, ‘Waltair Veerayya’ crossed the collections of these two movies very easily. Not just in Nizam and Vizag but the supremacy of ‘Veerayya’ is evident in other areas as well.
Interestingly, Balayya’s movie too got record collections in the Vizag area. Apart from GST, the movie minted 8 crores and ‘Varasudu’ got only 2 crores. By the end of its theatrical run, ‘Waltair Veerayya’ may cross a lot of records. As a matter of fact, Megastar’s film doesn’t have a great story. But it had elements that will please the Mega fans and Bobby made sure that the family audience will love it due to the entertaining episodes. With DSP’s hit music and good technical quality, the movie is creating wonders at the box office.
