Mythri Team Bringing ‘Manjummel Boys’ To Telugu States On 6th!

March 27, 2024

Mythri Movie Makers, a leading force in Tollywood production, is venturing into distribution with a focus on Telugu-dubbed releases. Their success story began with “Premalu,” the highest-grossing Malayalam film in Telugu history, raking in a phenomenal 15 crores. Now, they set their sights on another Malayalam sensation – “Manjummel Boys.”

This gripping survival thriller, releasing across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on April 6th, is inspired by a true event that unfolded in 2006. The film narrates the awe-inspiring story of boys from Kochi who etched their names in history. “Manjummel Boys” not only shattered box office records in Malayalam cinema, becoming the highest-grossing film to date (over 200 crores), but also resonated with audiences across languages.

Written and directed by Chidambaram, the film boasts a talented cast including Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Ganapathi Poduval, Lal Jr., and Deepak Parambol. Mythri Movie Makers, under the leadership of Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar Yalamanchili, has acquired the dubbing rights for the Telugu release.

The technical crew behind “Manjummel Boys” is equally impressive. Shyju Khalid captures the visuals, while Sushin Shyam composes the music. Vivek Harshan takes the reins on editing, and Ajayan Chalissery crafts the production design. The original Malayalam film was produced by Babu Shahir, Soubin Shahir, and Shawn Antony under the Parava Films banner.

Mythri Movie Makers’ involvement guarantees “Manjummel Boys” a grand release in Telugu states. Retaining its original title, the film promises a thrilling cinematic experience based on the true story of courageous youngsters from Ernakulam’s Manjummel who embarked on a daring rescue mission to save their friend trapped in a Guna cave in Kodaikanal during 2006.
