Three more positive cases in Telangana!

The Coronavirus positive cases continue to rise alarmingly in Telangana with three more cases being reported on Tuesday, taking the overall number of cases to 36.

According to the latest official bulletin released by the Telangana medical and health department on Tuesday afternoon. A 49-yr old man, resident of Kokapet in Rangareddy with travel history from London reported positive for Coronavirus.

The second patient is a 39-yr old female from Chandanagar in Ranga Reddy district with travel history from Germany. And the third patient is a 61-yr old housewife from Begumpet in Hyderabad with travel history from Saudi Arabia.

“All of them are undergoing treatment in the hospital and their condition is stable,” the bulletin said.

In view of Covid-19 global pandemic, the state of Telangana has strengthened surveillance, contact tracing and containment measures against the possible spread of disease.

There were no new cases in Andhra Pradesh as of now, except that of a seventh case that was reported on Monday – that of a 25-year old male tourist from the UK who came to Visakhapatnam and tested positive for COVID-19.

Both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments announced complete lockdown of their respective states till March 31, in the wake of growing number of cases.

Both the states had sealed inter-state borders and shutdown all public transport services.
