Known for his magnanimity and compassion, Superstar Rajinikanth has become predominantly one of the popular stars worldwide. He is a very likeable person both onscreen and off-screen. It is reported that Rajini has gifted a 3BHK flat to veteran film producer and story writer Kalaignanam.
Rajini’s first movie as a solo hero was Bharavi in 1978. Kalaignanam worked as a producer and writer for Bhairavi, also introducing Rajini as the lead actor. This ace producer was felicitated on August 14 and Rajini, who was present there, was told by senior actor Sivakumar that Kalaignanam, in spite of working for so many years in the industry, still live in a rented house. He also said that the Tamil government should help him.
Rajini was moved with his words and he immediately promised Kalaignanam that he will soon buy him a house and will not give this golden chance to the government. Today, he lived up to his promise. Within a span of two months, Rajini gifted a beautiful and spacious 3BHK house to the veteran. The house in Virugambakkam reportedly costs more than Rs 1 crore.
The photos of superstar gracing the house warming ceremony along with Kalaignanam family members are going viral. Rajini is seen lighting the first lamp in the house. Kalaignanam was felicitated on august 14 as he completed 50 years in the industry and also marked as his 90th birthday.
Rajinikanth said that “The film writers do not get the deserved recognition. I heard that Kalaignanam live in a rented house. It is sad. Minister Kadambur Raju said that he will talk to the government and help the producer get his own house. My thanks to him but I will not give this opportunity to the government. When his breath leaves his body, it must be from my house. He should spend the rest of his life in this beautiful house. Thanks to Sivakumar for bringing the news to me”.
Rajinikanth is an inspiration, from being a bus conductor to superstar. It is something not everyone can do. While many know only of his Conductor career, not many know that he even worked as a carpenter to support his family. He also took up various odd jobs at Chennai and Bangalore, before he became a bus conductor in Transport service.
