The Kadapa police had already arrested four persons accused in the conspiracy to kill Subba Reddy. In this connection, the police served notices on Bhargav Ram, asking him to appear before the police for interrogation.
If the speculation doing rounds in the media circles is to be believed, the police might take Bhargav into custody and produce him before the court.
It may be mentioned that the Kadapa police busted a plan to kill Subba Reddy in March by arresting three people who reportedly took “supari” (remuneration) of Rs 50 lakh from prominent political leaders.
One Fakeer, who had taken Rs 12 lakh as advance, came to Hyderabad to assassinate Subba Reddy on March 12, but he did not dare to do the job as the police were on night patrolling at his residence. Later, the Kadapa police arrested the accused in Chinna Chowk area in the town.
