In a refreshing departure from the norm, Mohanan emphasizes a focus on realistic visuals for “Family Star.” He sheds light on the common tendency in commercial cinema to prioritize vibrant colors and excessive lighting. For “Family Star,” however, Mohanan has opted for a more nuanced approach, employing lighting strategically to ensure each frame exudes authenticity.
