KCR to take some more time to step down?

Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday dropped enough hints that he might step down from the post of chief minister to make way for his son K T Rama Rao.

He said the younger team in the party is ready to take up the responsibilities, as was evident from the municipal elections.

When media persons asked him about the leadership change, KCR did not deny it strongly but only laughed at them and asked them whether there was any wrong with him.

The TRS chief, however, said there would be time for everything to happen. He did not take it seriously about the comments made by his ministers about KTR becoming the next chief minister soon.

But, one does not know when it would happen. There was a talk that he would step down from the chief minister post on February 17, when he would turn 66 and six is his lucky number. Astrologically, too, it is an auspicious time.

Interestingly, KCR himself has indicated that it is not going to happen so soon. He said he is going to lead a delegation of ministers and officials to Gulf countries next month to take care of the Gulf migrants.

According to official sources, the tour has been tentatively finalised on February 26. KCR is expected to tour Saudi, Qatar, Dubai and Kuwait.

He will meet with Telangana expatriates and the heads of government and industrialists to discuss about the investments in Telangana.

So, it is for certain that KCR will make his son the chief minister, but he will take some more time before making the decision.
