The second phase of the vaccination drive started on Monday. Following this, politicians and leaders of various states have been receiving the vaccine dose against the novel Coronavirus.
The Narendra Modi government said in the second phase of the vaccine drive, people above the age group of 60 and people above 45 with comorbidities will be vaccinated with the vaccine dose.
As part of the vaccination drive, Actor-turned-politician, Makkal Needhi Maiam(MNM) President Kamal Haasan received the first dose of the vaccine. He received the vaccine in Tamil Nadu’s capital Chennai.
The Universal Hero took to Microblogging site Twitter to share the picture of him getting vaccinated with the anti-Covid-19 vaccine. In a long tweet made in Tamil, Kamal Haasan urged everyone to get vaccinated.
People who care about themselves and others should get vaccinated against the pandemic. First, let us fight against Covid-19, we can fight against the corruption next month, MNM chief said.
Kamal Haasan is currently busy working for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly Polls that are slated to be held on 6 April 2021 for all the 234 constituencies in the state.
