Pan-Indian star Prabhas‘ upcoming mythological drama ‘Adipurush‘ with director Om Raut has been in the headlines ever since it was announced. The much-awaited film has created a fair deal of buzz across the country even before the flick started its regular shooting.
Touted to be an epic drama, the most anticipated film will see the Saaho actor as Lord Rama while Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan plays as the antagonist, Lankesh. Adipurush is said to be a screen adaptation of the Hindu epic ‘Ramayana’.
If the latest buzz is to be believed, the makers of the film have roped Bollywood actress Hema Malini to play the mother of the Baahubali actor. She will be seen as Kaushalya in the movie. Ever since the film was announced, a lot of speculations has been revolving around this big-budget film lately. However, an official confirmation regarding Hema Malini’s role is awaited.
With a budget of around Rs 500 crore, Adipurush is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series. It is expected to hit the big-screens in 2022.
