WANTED! Candidates For Janasena

Ever since Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan announced that he will not act in films anymore and will take up politics as a full-time vocation, the party has been reflecting a message that they will contest from all the Assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh. Over the last few months as part of the poll preparations, Pawan Kalyan has been touring various districts across the state to ensure that people vote for them.

On the other hand, Jana Sena had also been preparing to identify the right candidates for each constituency in the state. A team of 1200 members, according to sources, was assigned the task of identifying candidates. As a result the party announced its first list of candidates on Monday by declaring the names of 32 candidates for Assembly and 9 Parliamentary constituencies. Pawan Kalyan, informed people about this news through Twitter that it was the Party’s General Body that took the decision.

Meanwhile, Jana Sena, which will be partnering with Left Parties, is expected to announce seat-sharing tomorrow. According to sources, the Left Parties will be contesting 26 Assembly seats out of 175 and four LS seats out of 25, while remaining will be contested by the JSP. However, the biggest dilemma now doing rounds within Jana Sena Party is whether the party has potential candidates who can contest from all assembly seats as declared by their party president.

Some sections in the political circles are rife with rumours that Jana Sena does not have so many candidates that it can field them from all the 175 constituencies. Apparently, this news has even confused the cadre and are expecting clarity after tomorrow’s meeting with the Left Parties. The big question now for Jana Sena is, will they or won’t they contest from all the assembly constituencies in AP?
