His upcoming film Dear Comrade is one of the hottest films in the trade. Recently released teaser has already set high expectations on the film.
Vijay Deverakonda is looking to cash in on other South Indian markets with Dear Comrade. It will have simultaneous release in all South Indian markets. May 31 has been fixed as the release date for Dear Comrade.
It is a very good date as it will have ample time to cash in on the summer holidays. However, Dear Comrade will face stiff competition from Surya’s NGK that is also slated for release on the same day.
Although Surya has been struggling of late, NGK is riding on high expectations as it is directed by ace director Selva Raghavan. NGK also is aiming for pan South-India release on May 31.
It may not affect on the openings of Telugu version of Dear Comrade, but it will surely eat into its business in other states.
