Son Out, Dad To Contest on YCP Ticket

Purandheswari and Daggubati Venkateswara Rao’s son Hitesh Chenchuram, who is aspiring for Parchur Assembly ticket from YSRCP, is almost out of the race now. The reason being Hitesh is an American citizen and anyone who wants to contest elections in India, should be a citizen of this country first as per the constitution. Accordingly Hitesh is said to have applied for cancellation of his citizenship. But the process got delayed and so Hitesh backed out.

Since election schedule is out and AP is going for elections in the first phase i.e 11th April, there’s very little time for the mainstream parties to finalize their candidates. In this backdrop, Jagan don’t want to take any risk and hence asked Daggubati Venkateswara Rao to be in fray from Parchur as per the initial understanding. Accepting Jagan’s offer, Daggubati is now getting ready to contest for Assembly which has now made AP politics very interesting.

If Daggubati Venkateswara Rao gets elected to Assembly, both Chandrababu and Daggubati would lock horns in Assembly no matter who sits in government and who sits in opposition.
