Naga Chaitanya said that he didn’t recommend his wife’s name for the main role in “Majili” when director Shiva Nirvana narrated the story to him. Samantha was not his choice, but director’s.
“Majili” has brought Naga Chaitanya and Samantha together for the first time after their wedding. This is fourth film for them as a pair.
Naga Chaitanya also dismissed that reports that they paired up together to cash in their image of a star couple.
“It was purely director’s decision. He felt that only Sam could justice to the role which is written quite well and a very challenging character. I must say Samantha took it to the next level with her great performance,” Chaitanya praised his wife.
Naga Chaitanya also informed that he didn’t sign any other film besides the one that he is acting in presently – “Venky Mama”. There is a proposal from Dil Raju’s production but he has not heard the story yet.
