Once in a lifetime event – Howdy, Modi!

Narendra Modi – The one who singlehandedly transformed the image of India globally. Howdy Modi event ended yesterday with a strong note of unbreakable ties between India and the US. President Donald Trump and PM Modi were seen walking hand in hand around NRG Stadium, Houston, Texas.

This friendship between the two greatest democracies have ear-splitting cheers and traditional Indian drums welcoming President Trump to Houston on Sunday at an event dubbed “Howdy, Modi,” in honour of India’s visiting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Most of the crowd among more than 50,000 registered attendees were Indian-American and they dressed in vibrant traditional garb. The stadium was decorated with Indian and American flags. Earlier, when Modi’s Madison Square Graden event took place in NYC, the crowd was said to be massive. But yesterday’s event had three times the size of the crowd compared to five years ago.

“Trump’s name is familiar to every person on the planet. His name comes up in almost every conversation in the world on global politics,” Modi started off his speech on the dais.

“He was a household name and very popular even before he went on to occupy the highest office in this great country”, he said. Netizens thank Modi for bringing a huge positive change of the country global wide and poured in a lot of praises for being the only Prime Miniter to do so. In fact, even US citizens tweeted saying that they have put so much energy to welcome Modi to their country and humbled to share the platform with Indians.

India’s national anthem was heard singing by an unbelievably massive crowd in the US and it was less of an event and more of a grand festival. Beyond Spectacular! On the other hand, Trump said that he is happy to have an Indian-American community in his country and his administration is working for their betterment.
