Joke: Naidu says Jagan wasting money!

When he was in power, Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minster N Chandrababu Naidu had faced allegations of wasting huge money on his own and rented bungalows, besides other official quarters he had stayed.

He spent crores of rupees on renovating his Jubilee Hills house, staying in Park Hyatt hotel along with his family, providing facilities at his camp office in Vijayawada and then at his rented house at Vundavalli.

Huge amounts were spent on security installations at Naidu’s residences in Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Vundavalli.

And everybody knows how he had wasted public money on his political tours in the name of Dharma Porata Deeksha and Nava Nirmana Deeksha etc, besides expenditure on his special flights alone.

Now, this same gentleman is accusing YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

His grouse is that Jagan government had spent around 15.65 crore on his residence at Tadepalli in Guntur district at the expense of state exchequer. He feels that this was a wasteful expenditure at a time when the state is facing financial crisis.

In fact, spending Rs 15 crore for providing facilities at the CM’s residence is not a big thing, keeping in view the security required for him.

In fact, any chief minister requires facilities like helipad, approach road, security installations, view cutters etc. Not Jagan, even if Pawan Kalyan becomes the CM in future, the officials will have to spend money.

What is more, some of the expenditure like widening roads at a cost of Rs 5 crore and construction of Praja Vedika at Rs 2.5 lakh is meant for common people who use the facilities. They cannot be accounted for Jagan’s own expenditure.

And Naidu, being a chief minister for 14 years, knows that they are all essentials. Yet, the pot is calling the kettle black!
